Darren is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He established DM Safety & Health Services in 2008, having worked in the health and safety sector for several years. Darren aimed to bring new and innovative ideas to the construction sector.

Fast forward to today, and DM Safety & Health Services has evolved into a multi-disciplinary safety consultancy, placing safety at the heart of every business we work with.

Steven Johnstone
Operations Director

Steven is a Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng MEng) with extensive experience leading teams in high-consequence engineering and compliance environments. Before joining DM Safety & Health Services, he held senior delivery roles across the nuclear decommissioning, defence and space sectors, building a reputation for technical integrity, operationalising innovation, dependable delivery and strong leadership. As Operations Director, Steven is responsible for ensuring the company’s systems, people and performance work seamlessly together - maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and trust in every project we deliver.

Charlotte Mallon
National H&SE Account Director - Taylor Wimpey

Charlotte has nearly two decades of experience within the national housebuilding industry. Holding a NEBOSH Diploma, she has developed extensive expertise in health, safety and environmental management, underpinned by a strong commitment to professional excellence. For the past seven years, Charlotte has successfully led a team of HS&E Professionals, driving high standards, consistency and continuous improvement across national operations. In her role as National HS&E Account Director Charlotte is dedicated to delivering a professional and credible service that adds tangible value for clients.’

Gerry Brown
Construction Services Director

Gerry oversees all Construction Compliance delivery requirements. He leads a highly skilled, multi-disciplined team, coordinating the delivery of our Site Inspection, Principal Designer, and CDM Advisor services under CDM 2015, along with our training and delivery programme within the Construction sector, incorporating our House Building partners, in addition to our Clients within the Major Contractors group.

Mike Walker
Senior Project Manager

Mike provides Senior Project Management services to large organisations throughout all sectors. Clients have benefited from Mike’s significant experience with the successful delivery of major projects throughout the UK.

Emma Wilson
Training And Office Manager

Since joining DM Safety & Health Services, Emma has taken on the role of Training and Office Manager, overseeing both our training division and office operations.

She ensures that our training programs align with client needs and remain up to date with the latest legislative changes, while also managing the smooth running of our office and scheduling our vast network of advisors to meet with client requirements. This year, we aim to expand our offerings to include SMSTS, IOSH, and NEBOSH courses.

 

Charlotte Beesley 
HR & Finance Manager

Charlotte supports and manages a number of Business Functions. Charlotte’s role as HR, Accounts, and Finance Manager ensures support to both our staff and customers. Charlotte has vast experience within the industry, providing HR and Finance Management support, giving both our Staff and Customers practical guidance and reassurance.
